LIFT benefits from the highest possible political and diplomatic support.
The LIFT initiative echoes directly both French and Taiwanese policy-making priorities. LIFT contributes to the French objective to double the number of students by 2030 (2018 plan for the promotion of French language and plurilingualism) and the Taiwanese objective to become a bilingual nation by 2030. LIFT benefits from the support of the diplomatic post in Taipei and Taipei municipal authorities.
“I assure you of the full support, at 200%, of the French Office in Taipei and from France. Our support will be expressed in different ways in the approval of the AEFE when the time comes.”
M. Casabonne-Masonnave, Director of Bureau Français de Taipei, October 2021.
“There’s no greater project than opening a school. The LIFT project is a citizens’ project that was brought to life thanks to a community of people committed to a powerful philosophy of education. This unique experience will enable children to live fully and get the best of both French and Taiwanese cultures. It brings to life our common values: development of critical thinking, creativity and caring.”
M. Franck Paris, Director of Bureau Français de Taipei.
“A wonderful opportunity for internationalization and for the establishment of a bilingual education, giving future LIFT students the opportunity to become more integrated into the international community. Congratulations of Mayor Ko Wen-Je 柯文哲 and his best wishes to the new partners”
“Recognized as a key project and emblematic of the relationship between France and Taiwan, the delegation, enthusiastic about the team’s progress in recent months, wishes to bring the support that France dedicates to LIFT to a strategic and symbolic level.”
Senatorial delegation led by the former Minister of Defense Mr. Alain Richard, October 2021.
“I will support this project of an alternative French school and will come back at each important milestone of this project”
Anne Genetet, member of the French National Assembly since the 2017 elections, representing the Eleventh constituency for French residents overseas, November 2019.
