This year, the Lycée International Français de Taipei is getting ready to celebrate Mai des Langues (Language Month), a key event in the AEFE network that highlights linguistic and cultural diversity in French schools abroad.
The goal? To shine a light on multilingualism within our school, spark students’ curiosity about languages, and promote languages as tools for openness and intercultural dialogue.

Throughout the month of May, fun and educational activities will be offered in the various languages taught at LIFT: French, English, Mandarin, Spanish… as well as in the mother tongues of our students, which will further enrich this collective celebration.

The teaching team is already hard at work organizing workshops and events to showcase languages. These initiatives will allow everyone to discover the sounds of the world, explore other cultures, and better understand the richness that multilingualism brings to our school community.

Mai des Langues is also a chance to reaffirm the values of tolerance, openness, and respect for others—values at the heart of our educational mission.
