Psychosocial Skills in Schools: A Key Factor in Student Success

Education goes beyond academic learning; it also plays a crucial role in students’ personal development. Psychosocial skills (PSS), as defined by the World Health Organization, include a set of abilities that help children and adolescents better manage their social, emotional, and cognitive lives.

These skills include self-confidence, stress and emotion management, effective communication, critical thinking, and cooperation. By integrating them into teaching practices, schools help students adapt to academic challenges and build positive relationships with peers and teachers.

At the Lycée International Français de Taipei, we are committed to strengthening these skills through various activities such as collaborative projects, debates, role-playing, and emotional management workshops. By cultivating these abilities, we prepare our students to become fulfilled individuals, capable of facing the challenges of the modern world with resilience and empathy.
