It serves as an institutional forum for consultation and holds decision-making authority. Chaired by the Head of School, the Council brings together representatives of the educational community and provides input on key aspects of school life. It meets at least twice a year, for example to vote on the school\u2019s internal regulations or to adopt the establishment\u2019s educational project.<\/p><p>The Council is composed equally of school staff and elected parent representatives.<\/p><p>These parent representatives serve as the collective voice of all parents within the School Council. Ahead of each Council meeting, they independently organize consultations with the parents in their respective classes to ensure all views are taken into account.<\/p><p>In addition to its plenary sessions, the School Council also works through thematic workshops on topics related to pedagogical organization. This format helps maintain open, constructive dialogue between parents and the school.<\/p><p>Meeting minutes are shared with all families to ensure transparency.<\/p><p>In keeping with our founding principle of a school governed by its educational community, the School Council strengthens the role of parents\u2014who are also actively involved through a parent association and as members of the School\u2019s Board of Directors, where three parent representatives participate in strategic decisions, including financial and real estate matters.<\/p><p>It is important to highlight the complementarity of these two bodies: while financial, legal, and institutional integrity falls under the responsibility of the Board of Directors, the School Council focuses on school life and provides guidance on both educational and pedagogical issues. This includes the organization of the weekly schedule, support for students with special educational needs, extracurricular activities, establishment meals and hygiene, the safety and well-being of students during school and extracurricular hours, including protection from all forms of violence, discrimination, and bullying.
